The outer pan is made of hard anodized aluminum while the inner basket and screen are made from stainless steel. The heavy duty cast steel handle is riveted to the pan body. The pour-spouts on the sides are not sufficiently pronounced to avoid spilling when pouring oil out. Otherwise the product is perfect for my purpose. P.S. The inner side wall is high (deep?) enough to reduce oil splash--having the lid also further this cause. The vented lid is an excellent idea for minimizing condensation--it worked!
